About freebase

Freebase is a website which indexes software that is both useful, and free of annoyances. Software only qualifies to be listed here if it adheres to the following standards:

• It has to be free (gratis, at no cost).
• Ads in any form aren't tolerated, so you can be certain that none of the software listed here contains spyware/adware/malware.
• It may not be crippled, in case there's a 'pro' version.
• It has to be useful.

The files can be downloaded using common p2p clients like Shareaza, eMule, Frostwire and other clients using gnutella, G2 and/or the ed2k network.

If you're using gnutella/G2, the downloads are kickstarted using the Freebase cache, which will give you better download speeds.
